We have come up with the concept „Srce za ptice” as a way to work on solving several social problems at the same time. Our products are uniquely designed birdhouses that are made from eco-friendly materials and will be built in a suitable way so that small birds (especially endangered sparrows) can have easy access to shelter and food.  The idea is that the clients of our association – people with mental disorders – will be making the birdhouses during a guided occupational therapy, which will then be sold and/or branded by companies. Our product is different because it has social value (people with mental disorders will be obtaining economic support as well as a sense of being socially useful), ecological value (it helps maintain the number of sparrows residing in Belgrade, a number that is rapidly decreasing) and educational value (raising awareness about problems people with mental health issues face).
